From Corporate Lawyer to Airstream Nomad: Finding Joy in Everyday Life

by | Sep 7, 2021

After my Airstream epiphany, I pondered what it all meant and how to embark on this journey. Being practical, I researched the costs of living full-time on the road.

Earlier this month, July of 2021, Lynda Rozell began her official book launch for Journeys with a Tin Can Pilgrim. It was three years ago she quit her corporate life and began following a new path of life. Published by st. john’s press, she became a best-selling author overnight in three different categories: travel tips, business travel, and Christian professional growth. Lynda Rozell, originally from the Northern Virginia suburbs of Washington, D.C., will be featured this Thursday, July 29, 2021, at the Basilica of Saint Mary’s, featuring a book conversation and signing from 7-9 PM ET.

Her story began to unfold when she gave up everything, sold her home, quit her job, and went on the power of her faith. It was then her journey began. “After my Airstream epiphany, I pondered what it all meant and how to embark on this journey. Being practical, I researched the costs of living full-time on the road. I’d always been prudent with spending and lived below my means, so effectively retiring early was not impossible. I love the outdoors and camping, and I like to drive. Even though I’d never traveled in a trailer, it seemed a feasible way to live in relative comfort and go to many places I’d never seen. I’d never driven a truck, but that was easily remedied.

Lynda seeks to live out her Christian faith in her ordinary, everyday life as she travels around the country visiting campgrounds, RV resorts, parks, and religious sites.

“I prayed, “If You want me to do this, please remove all the obstacles. If I’m not hearing You correctly, then please make it clear that I should not do this.’ I felt an incredible sense of peace and happiness at being free to choose to follow whatever God had in mind for me. He answered as things fell rapidly into place. My children were supportive. So were my friends at work. But most definitively, many small signs pointed to not looking behind, not coming up with things I had to do first, but simply answering His call.”

In 2018, Lynda began living on the road full-time in an Airstream travel trailer that she tows with a RAM 1500 truck. Her first book, which is now a best-seller, chronicles her Journeys with a Tin Can Pilgrim and transformation from the previous life to that of a Tin Can Pilgrim including her ongoing spiritual growth and practical skills acquired to live in and tow her Airstream trailer. Lynda seeks to live out her Christian faith in her ordinary, everyday life as she travels around the country visiting campgrounds, RV resorts, parks, and religious sites. Through engaging stories, she invites others into the communities she has found on the road and shares the beauty of Creation and spiritual signposts that continue to lead her to radical trust in God.

Journeys with a Tin Can Pilgrim will be featured this fall 2021 as Lynda Rozell presents lectures, book signings, women’s faith events, business, and travel tips; she will also be featured on many topical websites documenting her cross-country travels in her Airstream. She will share travel tips on her featured Tin Can Pilgrim Blog, which you can follow by visiting www.tincanpilgrim.com/news/. Lynda Rozell is available for guest and media bookings as she begins her book signings in the Washington, D.C., and Northern Virginia area.
